On Sunday we headed to Fearrington Village just outside Chapel Hill for a Halloween festival, complete with carved pumpkins, local beer, and live bluegrass music. We've been to Fearrington before but never has it looked so festive and quaint. We all enjoyed the sights and sounds of the festival, especially with picture perfect fall weather in the air. More importantly, Evan officially debuted his Halloween costume and hopped around the festival with the other kids.
At last came Evan's first real trick-or-treat experience. Cool temperatures and raindrops didn't stop our little kangaroo from happily bouncing door-to-door to pick up his treats. We only took him to five houses but somehow he came home with a full bucket of candy. Who knows what's still hiding in his pouch!
I love the baby kangaroo in his pouch--so cute! Glad you had a good birthday--apple dumplings sound like the perfect fall dessert!
ReplyDeletelove it and think you should have included something about switching out his candy for fruit snacks and healthy treats, what a good mommy you are :) xoxo
